The Amani Festival is a multicultural event whose name originates from the Swahili word for ‘peace.’ It is a one-day street festival with events and entertainment on the main stage, plus the “Children’s Alley”, a poetry contest and the Teenage Arts and Music Festival.

A change (in 2008) for the festival includes moving the date of the festival from early May to late April and combining the festival with Dickinson College’s Spring Fest.
