Carlisle Summerfair is a multi-day event held in the Carlisle, PA area, originally designed to provide entertainment around the 4th of July, so that families could stay home and avoid travelling long distances.  The dates of the fair do vary, depending on what day of the week the 4th falls on, but in most cases events begin at the end of June.
