In downtown Mechanicsburg, they celebrate Earth Day (not always on Earth Day, but at a weekend close to it)… Go to the Mechanicsburg Area School District website and click on the link to Parks and Rec for the date and schedule.
The School District, local non-profit organizations and state agencies will all be participating to help you increase your awareness about the earth and what we can do to protect it.
Featured events are the Trash to Treasures yard sale, a 5K run and a camping under the stars event.
