The Annual Bear’s Picnic Music Festival is held at the Liberty Festival Grounds in Roaring Branch, PA. The Bear’s Picnic is a family oriented music festival featuring a variety of local and national bands, arts, crafts, camping, children’s activities, and much more. The event showcases a variety of music genres to enjoy including Jam, Blues, Rock, Country, Folk, Funk, Bluegrass, Jazz, and Reggae.
In addition to the great music, the festival-type atmosphere brings with it a wide array of food, art, live painting, and craft vendors. Special this year is a morning Yoga workshop, and multiple Instrumental Workshops, and The Grateful Gallery Tour, a rock’n roll art gallery featuring art from the early 60’s to present day, which will display a lot of rare originals and prints from artists such as Jerri Garcia, Micky Hart, Billy Kreutzman, Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley, John Warner, Richard Biffle, and Mike Dubois.
For the young people, the Bear Cub Den is a children’s activity area led by certified instructors. It includes arts, crafts, an Art Contest, Scavenger Hunt, Storytelling, Face Painting, Drum Circle, daily music lessons, a children’s parade and onstage performance on Sunday.
Another popular feature of the Bears Picnic is the circulation of various artists with impromptu performances, jamming with visitors, and artists on hand for signing at merch booths.
