Carlisle Summerfair is a multi-day event held in the Carlisle, PA area, originally designed to provide entertainment around the 4th of July, so that families could stay home and avoid travelling long distances. The dates of the fair do vary, depending on what day of the week the 4th falls on, but in most cases events begin at the end of June. There so many events, that we recommend going to the website for the full schedule for each year, but here are some brief highlights:
Anything that Floats, Around Town Bike Ride, Walking Tours of Carlisle, Baby Races, 5K Run, Emergency Services Tours and Exhibits (that one is VERY interesting…), Country Line Dancing, Courthouse Tours, a Craft Show, Golf Tournament (and mini-golf tournament too!), plus a Parade, Kickoff Concert and Fireworks to close the 4th of July!
Please note: If you plan to participate in any of the athletic events, the golf tournament or Anything That Floats, you want to get the forms that need to be completed and fill them out as early as possible.
