Art Walk on the Block opens in downtown DuBois along W Long Ave, Brady St, and a few other locations marked on our map. Visitors can meet and greet the artists while enjoying the hosts of businesses that downtown has to offer. Much of the art on display is also available for sale by the respective artist. The artists/businesses do pack up promptly at 4 PM to end the day. It is recommended that you plan ahead and show up early if you intend to see everything on display for the day.
There are art inspired activities for kids to participate in that range from face painting to arts and crafts to live demonstrations. Several of these activities take place on the lower level of the DuBois City Library. The DuBois Historical Society will also be hosting children’s activities this year. These activities are usually run by students and grads from the DuBois Business College.
There will also be a student artwork showcase on display. Performance Art Throughout the Art Walk are artists honing their craft. Art Walk has hosted potters, painters, chainsaw carvers, and more during the past years’ events. There are also musicians and street performers on hand to keep you entertained as you make your way through downtown throughout the day.
