So it is fair to say that the Equitable Gas Festival of Lights is packed with entertainment. For starters, a moderately sized craft show runs the length of the festival and is great for holiday shopping. Visitors can shop for homemade crafts and goods like dolls, ornaments, and wooden toys. Food concessions are available and there is free hot cocoa for visitors who make a donation to the food bank.
It should be noted that the student body at LaRoche College represents countries and cultures from all over the world. At Festival of Lights, those students from different areas of the world are able to showcase their culture and heritage by decorating trees in the style of their home’s traditional Christmas. The displays are truly heartfelt and inspiring and sure to get everyone into a great festive spirit.
While only one evening, Festival of Lights manages to host nearly half a dozen choirs. Also, there are performances from dance troupes, ice sculpting and activities for the children as well as magicians and jugglers. At the end of the night, grab some more cocoa and bundle up for the fireworks show.
Admission and parking is free
