With so much fun and excitement you won’t want to miss Fun in the Snow at Black Mo, a one day winter festival sponsored by the state parks service and loaded with activities. In fact, there are so many fun things to do, it’s a wonder they pack it all into an afternoon. Come for the winter exercise or come simply to enjoy the scenery and keep warm by the open fires and roast marshmallows. Either way, Fun in the Snow at Black Mo is a must!
Visitors to Fun in the Snow can traipse over the frozen lake at Black Moshannon State Park for events like ice skating and ice bowling. Don’t miss your chance to try the very popular broomball. There is even miniature golf on the ice! For those less comfortable with icy water, there is sled riding nearby and throughout the day there are cross-country skiing and snowshoeing demonstrations. There are fun and educational walks and tours guided by rangers. At the end of the day, join everyone for an evening ski on the lake. The state park reminds visitors to bring their own skis in order to participate in the cross-country skiing beginner’s class.
Fun in the Snow at Black Mo takes the task of encouraging healthy activity to heart. All of the events at this festival are free and limited pairs of snowshoes and skates are available to borrow. Fun in the Snow is held at Black Moshannon State Park, a tiny wilderness paradise that offers spectacular scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. The great experiences at Fun in the Snow will stay with you long after the day is over.
Everything is free and parking is free.
