Philadelphia has long been recognized for being the City of “FIRST’s”, in 2013 city added to that list by hosting the 1st Annual outdoor Multicultural Festival of Colors. This festival features some of the biggest artists from Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados and Africa, all transforming the “City of Brotherly Love & Sisterly Affection” into one big “Island Festival.”
The purpose of bringing the Multicultural Festival of Colors to Philadelphia is to build a more effective multicultural bridge between the Caribbean, it’s expatriated people and those who share its culture. June is National Caribbean Heritage Month and serves as the intended backdrop for the Multicultural Festival/Concert of Colors.
