Pages & Places, “A Celebration of Books and the City”, is Northeast Pennsylvania’s annual book festival featuring renowned panelists, a free Book Expo, writing and industry workshops and a Kid’s Fest.
This festival, which is held the first week of October in Scranton, PA started in 2009 and was created to bring attention not only to the areas revitalization, but also to introduce the region to movements and trends in some of the more lively and compelling literary genres.
Each of the panel discussions are held in some of the most impressive venues in downtown Scranton and this integration of literature and architecture distinguishes Pages & Places from any other festival in the country. It is precisely this two-fold mission that gave Pages (the books) & Places (the city’s venues) its name.
