Editors Note: We could not find any information on this years Rimrock Bash.

Held every Memorial Day at the stunningly beautiful Kinzua Lake, Rimrock Bash is sponsored by PKP, a group dedicated to educating and inspiring people about the natural beauty of the Allegheny Reservoir area.  So it is that this one day event plays out like a big celebration for summer, for the natural beauty of Kinzua Lake, and for just being outside in nature’s splendor.  Replete with nature-based events, family fun activities, and a great arts and craft show, Rimrock Bash is a great way to spend Memorial Day and officially kick off a perfect summer season!

Being that the mission of the festival is to energize people’s love of the outdoors, Rimrock Bash hosts many fun and educational demonstrations.  Fly fishing demos, boulder climbing demos, water rescues, and geo-caching are just some of the neat things to do.  There are also guided nature tours, a group mountain bike ride, and every half hour a shuttle transports visitors to the absolutely beautiful Rimrock Overlook.  For families with young ones, there is a Kids Zone tent with fun activities, and for the entire family, visit the wellness tent where family-oriented activities are held – specifically plenty of yoga classes.

Anchoring Rimrock Bash is a comprehensive arts and craft show with over two hundred vendors.  Art vendors sell high-quality goods such as unique pottery, handmade jewelry, expertly carved furniture, and homemade specialty foods.  Local organizations also set up information tents, most notably representatives from Seneca Nation.  There is a surprisingly great selection of food vendors including regional caterers that serve up delicious treats like cold slushies, hot fries, and delicious barbeque.  A beer tent opens up in the morning and runs all afternoon. As with any great festival, there is lots of music with everything from DJ’s to steel drums and a selection of great bands from the area.

Admission is free and parking is free.
