The five Sundays before Christmas, Stoudt’s Restaurant and Pub turns into the premier holiday shopping experience in Adamstown with Stoudt’s Chriskindlesmarkt. This market is a fabulous convergence of holiday extravaganza and old world tradition. Stoudt’s is quite the energetic eatery. Over these five weeks they work tirelessly to create a wholesome holiday spirit by serving great festive foods and offering quality Christmas crafts.
At Stoudt’s Chriskindlesmarkt, each Sunday is a different theme. Victorian Christmas, Swedish Holiday, and Pennsylvania Dutch are some of the past themes. Stoudt’s is a pub and restaurant so you know the food is good. But spiced plums, hot-crossed buns, meat pies, spiced beer, schnitzel, spaetzel, pot roast and traditional ham? Many people find themselves going back every week just to experience the different food themes.
The vendor size is relatively small – fifty. But the selection is top-notch quality. Pick up a fresh wreath or your live Christmas Tree. There are handmade toys, Christmas décor and antiques. There is live entertainment every Sunday and be sure to find Saint Nicholas walking around passing out chocolate coins to all the children who have been good!
