Prepare for warm sunny days and chilly nights at Smoked Country Jam. If you play an instrument, bring it, and join in the campfire jams. Also bring a comfortable lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the music at the stages. Coming for the day Pack a picnic basket or buy food and drinks for our vendors. Always have a hat and sunscreen, and your dancing shoes

The Details:

Smoked Country Jam is a 3 day, family-friendly event, benefiting The Lupus Foundation of America, bringing together performers from all branches of the bluegrass tree. Whether the music is traditional or progressive, Americana, old time or Roots, all are shared on the stage with one another. The festival showcases the past, present and future of bluegrass music, with lineups of national and regional performers playing over 40 hours of music on two stages. The event was begun in 2004 as a benefit for the Lupus Foundation, and features a 3-day Lupus Auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Lupus Foundation of America. Since 2004 the auction has donated over $41,000 to Lupus. There is a full schedule of bluegrass workshops, childrens activities. The vendor midway offers plenty of food, drinks, artisan work, and festival merchandise. Shade tents are provided at both stages. The festival is pet friendly. Golf carts, ATVs, and 4-wheelers are also welcome. The Pennsylvania Heritage Songwriting Contest awards prizes to the top three entries in the contest, with each winning songwriter performing their song on stage. Quiet Oaks Campground offers a 100 acre festival grounds, the Road Kill Cafe, an outdoor restaurant serving breakfast each morning, and hot showers for festival attendees.
