The Details:
The Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival is an annual week-long event held in mid-June in Wellsboro, celebrating the blooming of the state flower. The 84th festival is planned for June 13-21, 2026, offering a wide array of activities for the entire family. Events include a juried arts and crafts fair, queen's pageant, pet parade, children’s health fair, foot races, gospel sing, musical concerts, and a traditional two-hour Laurel Festival Parade. Originally conceived in 1938 by Larry Woodin to boost the local economy, the festival is now sponsored by the Wellsboro Foundation, Inc. and administered by the Wellsboro Area Chamber of Commerce.
