The Details:
Lithuanian Days, the oldest continuous annual ethnic festival in the US, is a two-day celebration of culture, cuisine, song, and dance. Since 1914 Lithuanian Days has offered traditional Eastern European foods, and handmade crafts, as well as live music and dance performances celebrating Lithuanian culture. Enjoy the program on the main stage in the gorgeous and air conditioned grand lodge. Outside the lodge, take a ride in a horse drawn carriage around the lake in the stunning Barnesville Valley or stroll the gorgeous wooded grounds of Catalpa Grove. Browse Lithuanian goods: amber jewelry, wood carving, egg art, textiles, and more. Explore a Partisan camp and learn about the Lithuanians heroic fight for freedom, cross swords with the Banners of Jasna Gora and delve into Lithuanian Medieval history and see the Banner of Jasna Gora exhibit medieval armor, or have the kids engage in activities just for them. All activities and parking are free. Tickets are available day of at the gate. Saturday Aug 17th 11am-6pm Sunday Aug 18th 12pm-5pm $10 per person for one day $15 person for both days. All proceeds benefit Lithuanian non-profits and our local museum.
