The Details:
Uptown Chalk the Block is Western Pennsylvania’s first and oldest street painting festival, held annually in quaint Uptown Somerset. The festival showcases over 20 professional chalk artists, alongside emerging and youth artist competitions, with the streets transformed into vibrant murals. Attendees can enjoy a wide array of activities including live music, art demonstrations, free kids' activities, diverse food and drink vendors, and a 5K run/walk. The 2026 event, themed 'YESTER-YEAR,' will kick off with a car cruise. Additional attractions include a Clay Quest Scavenger Hunt, book sales, model train exhibits, a 'Christmas in July' celebration with Santa, and an Artisan Market.
