The Details:
The Gettysburg Brass Band Festival is an annual celebration of live music, featuring a diverse range of brass bands, community ensembles, and jazz groups. Established in 1998, the festival aims to provide performance opportunities for musicians, attract visitors to Gettysburg, and enhance the town's quality of life through music. The multi-day event kicks off with a Community Band Night on Wednesday, followed by a benefit golf tournament and a ticketed Jazz al Fresco concert on Thursday. Downtown Gettysburg becomes a lively musical hub for 'Bands in the Borough', where small ensembles perform at various locations. The highlight is two full days of free performances on the main stage at the Gettysburg Seminary on Saturday and Sunday, concluding with a Taps Tribute on Saturday night.
