Parking is on site for a donation. Event parking is located on the Hay Creek Valley Historical Association grounds, three miles north of Morgantown, PA on Route 10 at Historic Joanna Furnace. Visitors should access Furnace Road where volunteer parking crew will assist. Additional parking is also available along Furnace Road.
The Details:
The Hay Creek Apple Festival is a family-friendly fall event celebrating everything about apples, including an apple pancake breakfast, homemade apple specialties, and cider pressing demonstrations. Visitors can also shop at a flea and craft market with over 100 vendors, and participate in an apple dessert baking contest. Numerous family activities such as scarecrow building, pumpkin painting, early American games, and hay/pony rides are offered. Additionally, six historic Joanna Furnace buildings will be open with garbed interpreters, offering a glimpse into 19th-century ironworks history.
