The Details:
Folk College is a fun and friendly weekend event dedicated to playing and listening to folk music. It fosters a non-competitive environment for musicians of all levels, from beginners to experienced players, to rekindle their love for music. The event offers a wide array of workshops covering various folk styles, coaching sessions, concerts, jamming, singing, and dancing. Nationally known musicians and nurturing teachers guide participants through activities, including those designed for non-musicians like "Try a Banjo" and "Beginning Harmonica". There are plenty of options for intermediate and advanced musicians to explore new genres or concepts. Held at Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA, the weekend culminates in a Student Bands Concert, where participants are coached by professional musicians.
