Parking and shuttle service are available for the Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Parade on November 20th. The shuttle runs from the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex Auxiliary Parking Lot to the Indiana Post Office (South 7th Street/Gompers Avenue).
The Details:
The It’s a Wonderful Life Festival celebrates the birthplace of legendary actor Jimmy Stewart and his classic film in Indiana, PA. Downtown Philadelphia Street transforms with Christmas tree decorations, twinkling lights, and vintage displays, delighting visitors of all ages. IRMC Park serves as the festival headquarters, featuring a 30-foot+ live Christmas tree. The event officially kicks off with a Christmas tree lighting and holiday parade on November 20, 2026. The festival then continues on subsequent Saturdays from November 21 through December 19, 2026, with themed days such as Hometown Holiday, Small Business Saturday, Sounds of the Season, Cookies & Cheer, and Holiday Scramble. The year 2026 also marks the 80th anniversary of the film “It’s a Wonderful Life”.
