Starkbierfest 2026 at Brauhaus Schmitz is a German strong beer festival, considered the second largest after Oktoberfest, where guests are encouraged to wear traditional Dirndl or Lederhosen. The event is scheduled for March 6th and 7th, showcasing a selection of Germany's finest strong biers. On Friday, entrance is free with a "pay as you go" system, offering a more casual experience. For Saturday, a $25 advance ticket grants access from 3 PM to 8 PM, and includes a keepsake mug, a complimentary first Starkbier, and live entertainment. A special festival menu will be available for additional purchase throughout the entire weekend. Saturday's festivities will feature live music from the Maria & John Band from 4 PM to 7 PM, and a unique opportunity to pet and cuddle cute goats between 3 PM and 7 PM. A wide variety of Starkbiers will be on draft, including Plank Heller Weizenbock, Ayinger Celebrator, and Andechser Dopplebock Dunkel.
