Premium parking is available at the Jim Thorpe Train Station Lot (next to the finish line) for $25/day, requiring pre-purchase online. Free off-site parking with a 7-minute shuttle bus is offered at the Jim Thorpe Area High School. Non-train marathon runners should park at the Route 940 Park and Ride in White Haven. The train station lot opens at 6:00 am on Saturday and 5:30 am on Sunday.

The 2026 Jim Thorpe Area Running Festival is presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network and takes place on April 25 & 26. The festival offers a Half Marathon, a 7-Miler with a scenic train ride, and a Full Marathon, which is a point-to-point Boston Qualifier known for its fast, steady downgrade. Runners will enjoy picturesque courses on flat, hard-packed rail-trails through Lehigh Gorge State Park in the beautiful mountain town of Jim Thorpe. On-course hydration and fuel are sponsored by UCAN, with water and UCAN hydrate stations approximately every two miles for the half marathon and at various points for the full marathon. Participants receive a 2026 JTARF tee-shirt, a unique finisher's medal, and free downloadable professional photographs. Post-race, attendees can join a "Whistlestop Tour" for food and drink specials at local establishments.
