The Details:

The 19th Annual Colonial Fort Halifax Festival is an annual history event that has been postponed for 2025, with plans to return in 2026. Normally, the festival takes place at Fort Halifax Park on the first Saturday of May, offering free parking and admission from 10am to 5pm. It features living history demonstrations, French and Indian War trade and battle reenactments, British, French, and Native American encampments, period artisans, arts and crafts, delicious food, and hay wagon rides. Additionally, the Friday before the festival, Friends of Fort Halifax Park, Inc. hosts an Education Day for 5th-grade students. An Appreciation Reception with a guest speaker is also held in the evening for members, historians, and reenactors. Visitors can experience life in 1700s Colonial America at the site where Fort Halifax once stood.
