The Details:
Friends of Fort Halifax Park, Inc. hosts this fun and educational event. 2025 will be the 19th year for this event. Visitors experience Colonial era blacksmithing, printing, rifling, clothing, daily life, and more. This day brings Colonial history to life as visiotrs can watch demonstrations and talk to living historians. Visitors are entertained by the Central York Middle School Fife and Drum Corp. who will amaze everyone. The British Augusta Regiment, French and Native American reenactors of the French and Indian War will demonstrate trade scenarios and do firing demonstrations and or on hand to answer questions about the life of a soldier. Many public interest groups and exhibitors will be on hand, such as the Archaeology Dept. of the PA State Museum, archaeology experts of the newly rediscovered Fort Halifax, and representatives of Forts Hunter and Augusta who will round out artifact exhibits and information. There are childrens activities, hay wagon rides, tomahawk throwing, handmade arts and craft vendors, food vendors, and more. Free admission and parking too
