The Details:
The National Road Festival is an annual event in Scenery Hill, PA, celebrating the historic National Road, the first federal road commissioned in the U.S. It features a blend of history, music, arts & crafts, food, children’s activities, fireworks, and an authentic wagon train. Held the third weekend every May, the festival encourages but does not require period clothing. Attendees can explore local shoppes, restaurants, and yard sales along Route 40 for antiques and unique finds. The event includes a full schedule of musical performances on both Saturday and Sunday, an opening ceremony, and a community church service. Fireworks are scheduled for Sunday at dusk, culminating the festivities.
