Christmas in Montrose is an annual festival that captures the joy of the holiday season and celebrates the close-knit, neighbor-helping-neighbor values of the small town. People of all ages are encouraged to attend a weekend full of events throughout the community, get Christmas shopping done at local shops, and enjoy the holiday season with loved ones. The festival includes Santa's arrival on Saturday, a farmer’s market, a vendor market for Christmas shopping, a Best Dressed Elf contest, and horse-drawn carriage rides. Attendees can also enjoy photos with Santa for both kids and pets, crafts for kids in local shops, a free kid’s movie at the theater, several craft fairs at churches, and good food at town restaurants.
