The Details:
The 45th Annual Blueberry Festival is a two-day event held on the first Friday and Saturday in August, bringing thousands to Montrose, PA. Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of blueberry-themed items, from ice cream and muffins to pies. The festival features four tents packed with used books, baked goods, commemorative pottery, and items from the Handcraft and Harvest Table, alongside a White Elephant Sale. Activities for all ages include children's games, live entertainment, a silent auction, a huge basket raffle, and visits from Newberry the Blueberry. A Civil War re-enactor camp and a handmade quilt raffle are also typically part of the festivities. Admission to the festival is free, with all proceeds benefiting the Susquehanna County Historical Society & Free Library Association.
